Having avoided such events for the most part since his infamous Taylor Swift fiasco, Kanye West is ready to give it another go.
Despite the lashback received a year ago, an insider tells Us magazine that the hip hop star that he will be performing at the 2010 MTV VMAs.
With the show to take place on September 12th, Kanye’s own people have yet to confirm or deny the VMA talk.
Nonetheless, a highly-publicized event makes complete sense after West just recently released a new video for his debut single “Power” while also planning to drop his fifth studio effort this fall.

She’s always been about showing love to her fans, and coming up later this month Taylor Swift will be going above and beyond to give back.
The “Should’ve Said No” songstress will host a 13-hour meet and greet event on June 13th as part of the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee.
Taylor explained, “My favorite thing about CMA Music Fest has always been getting to spend time with the fans, so this year I wanted to figure out a way to meet as many of them as possible.”
“Thirteen is my lucky number, and the 13th is during Music Fest, so I think spending 13 hours that day with my fans is going to be amazing!”
May 16th :: Taylor Swift’s Big Apple Retail Romp
Making time over the weekend to indulge on herself, Taylor Swift was spotted out in New York City on Saturday afternoon.
The country singing cutie looked adorable as she made her way to a few shops including the Rugby store while followed by a pack of paparazzi.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Taylor racked up three nominations for the 2010 CMT Music Awards – which are set to take place on June 9 in Nashville.

Chatting about recent relationship rumors, Cory Monteith talked Taylor Swift with Ellen DeGeneres on Monday.
The “Glee” star spoke about reports claiming he and the country singing cutie are an item while on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Denying the reports, he said, “No, we’re just friends. I don’t know where the time is to date these days.”
But DeGeneres had an opinion of her own. “You’d be a cute couple … maybe,” she said. “She’s lovely,” Cory replied.
Ellen then shot back, “She is lovely, and you’re lovely. Two lovely people.” Getting a bit embarrassed, Cory piped in, “Stop it. Listen to her …“
Ellen then added, “Yeah, listen to me. Think about it.”
The rumours sparked about the two when they were caught spending time together and displaying “great chemistry,” by onlookers. Monteith later told CMT Radio Live’s Cody Alan that Swift “kicked my ass” at bowling that day.

The country singing cutie headed over to Jack n’ Jill’s for a bite to eat while accompanied on the midday outing by her band members.
Meanwhile, Miss Swift is gearing up for a big weekend – as she’ll be attending the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 18th.

On the eve of music’s biggest night, the stars joined together for the annual Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Last but not least, Carrie Underwood hit up the Clive Davis bash sporting her big diamond ring on her hand and hockey player fiance Mike Fisher on her arm before taking the stage for a lovely performance.

Lending their time and support to Haiti, several young Hollywood stars stepped out for last night’s Hope for Haiti Now Telethon.
Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Kevin Jonas, Selena Gomez, David Archuleta, Anna Kendrick, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift were among the many to show up for the extraordinary money-raising event.
Over 100 celebrities answered phones in New York and Los Angeles, after professional operators first talked to donors.
George Clooney helped organize the event and hopes the songs and performances can help carry the fundraiser beyond the evening and into the following weeks, months and years.

Funnily enough, Justin actually had a bit of an unfortunate incident during a past experience while onstage with Miss Swift.
“I actually broke my foot on stage performing with Taylor Swift,” Justin said. “I was opening up for her, which was a lot of fun — although it definitely wasn’t fun when I broke my foot. I was running and there was a little dip in the stage, and I rolled my ankle and broke it. I finished the song but it was still a great night.”
